Good Morning SCCC Family,        * This Friday – the first of four scheduled “Party at the Pastors”. We are looking forward to our time together with our church family. If you didn’t get a chance to sign up, just send us a quick email. Alternate dates are: May 23@6pm; June 13@2pm; June 27@6pm.

* Today we take my Mom back to Hermosillo, so she can fly home to the balmy Canadian North. We’ve had a great time with her, introducing her to our surroundings and to our SC friends!

* This seems to be the week of news that calls us to pray for one another in an intentional, ongoing way. So I invite you to read the following and I’m sure there are many other stories in each of our lives as well. But the Word in my heart this morning is let’s hold each other up. Let’s pray!

* Most of you are already aware of the fire at Katie Kirk’s home last week. A number of you have helped and continue to offer to help. We’ve been able to meet with the Rotary folks, who have gone out of their way for Katie as well. And to see our church folks working together with folks from another organization, rather than each doing our “own” thing is a wonderful testimony! Please continue to pray for Katie as she deals with all the loses and with the decisions as to what’s next.

* This past week has been tough week for some other folks in the church as well. Christie Forester’s grandaughter Kari is a few weeks away from delivering her baby. The Drs. have now discovered that the baby has some very serious heart problems. Christie and Walt covet our prayers for this family and this little one in particular. God can still deliver a healthy baby! On Sunday, Christie’s heart was that God would use this situation in a meaningful way.

* Susan Dyck’s father had a “nerve block” done in his lower back yesterday. Another opportunity to pray.

* Juan & Jazmin were also separated last Tuesday as Juan went up to Canada for work in the welding field. Jazmin, at this point has still not been able to secure a visa, and is not allowed to go with him. So she stays behind with her three little ones. This separation, though necessary for financial reasons, is so tough for them as a family. Please pray for them as he spends the next three months in Edmonton and for Jazmin here in San Carlos.

* Pray for Sheila Pfister as she continues to heal from shoulder surgery.

* Maureen Davis had an MRI done and she has a fractured hip. She has an appointment with the surgeon to see if they will put a pin in or if she has to have a hip replacement.

* Ruth VanKirk’s Mother, Esther is critically ill and the family has gathered with her to say farewell.

* Mary Sprague continues her radiation treatments this week. She emailed this week and shared how she is able to stay with some folks in Tucson who need her help as well. So while facing her own treatments, she continues to minister to others. Way to go, Mary!

* I think I’ve heard of three folks this week who lost a pet that was very dear to them.

* So it seems the focus of the week is Prayer. Would you take up the challenge to hold these and others up in a particular way this week? You may not know all of them, but the Father does and He hears our prayers. Lord bless you this week as you care for others in this way!

* Praise God for the initial responses we’ve had on finishing our new ministry center. We received one pledge of $2000 this week. We’ve received some money for chairs in honor of folks in our church. I’ve got an upcoming appt with another couple. So its starting. Would you consider joining in so we can finish this project before the end of summer? I’ve included the list of options for you to consider or you can simply designate your funds to the “sanctuary completion”.

Praying you have a great week!
Pastor Glenn y Jeannine
