Acts 11:26 “…For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people.  And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.”

Today, if you wear the name Christian you will be ridiculed, berated and probably even threatened.  It was no different in the Apostle Paul’s day during the times of the early church when it was just beginning.  One only needs to read the Book of Acts to see the great persecution that broke out against the Christians.  But the Believers did not shrink back from their faith, but continued to proclaim blodly the need to “Repent and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins.”  If you did that – you were called a “Christian.”

What do people call you today?  By what name are you known in the spiritual and this physical world?  If you wear the name of Jesus Christ, stand-up strong, be faithful, proclaim His forgivness boldly and don’t shrink back when someone ridicules you.

If you don’t wear the name of “Christian” you need to.  Don’t spend another day without Jesus Christ’s forgiveness and salvation.

The day is coming when every knee will bow before the Lord Jesus Christ and tongue will confess that He is Lord!!
