Good Day to You.

This Sunday I stepped up to preach the message and look across the room and I am happy, as I see more people return from the north. And I look about and there are a few more that have returned to church who live here full time. We also had guests this Sunday. Some were in visiting family and a couple that were checking out SCCC as a home church. Talk about the “new normal” if you want to! We are just returning to normal!

We went to brunch after service with the “new” people and some returning people. The one fellow had just been here back in the spring, which is only several months ago. His comment was on the growth of SC. It is changing and a challenge for SCCC is keep up with the changes here to population and demographics. As the world big and small changes, so must we. A challenge in the coming year will be to adjust to a town that is changing.

Oh, one more item. It sure is cooler here. The weather is excellent for being outdoors. So where are you? Let me know. And just try to tell me your weather is better! Bozeman Montana was 34 f on Monday morning. Thanks, but I prefer my mornings here.

Each week as I write this letter I try to keep a positive view and find a way to inspire others regardless of the times we find ourselves in, regardless of what is in my own personal life. My hope is to inspire hope. Not some wishy on a star type of hope but an expectation hope.

What are you hoping for? So often we are disappointed as we place our hopes and expectation in the wrong place. We hope for an event, day or person, that will come along and all we hoped for will happen. And often that is not he way it is.

Sometimes what we hope for is right in front of us and we miss it. The Jews of Jesus’ day were hoping for a saviour. But there were putting their hope in religion, the Temple, the Laws of Moses, the prophets, and their knowledge and wisdom. Three times in Matthew 12 Jesus says, “Something greater is here.” Yet they missed it. I pray that we place our hope in the right place, Jesus! You know something, I have not been disappointed. It is not always as I thought, but was probably for the best.

Please, keep your trust in Jesus that he has a plan. Not as you think, but he still has His plan. Please, continue to have faith in trust in Him!

Blessings, Pastor Chuck. Next Sunday, “The Signature of God” Ecclesiastes 4:9

We will be open for public worship services Sunday. Service will also be LIVE on Facebook. You do not need an account. If the “live” feed you are receiving is interrupted we encourage you to please return and go the page and bring up “Videos” and you will find the recorded video for each Sunday.
