Good morning church,
The winter season is really upon us. One morning here it was down to 52 f or about 11c. I declined my walk that morning. The season is busy here in San Carlos. The community is vibrate and so are all the ministries of SCCC. So much is going on. Just read through the events and you can see we are in full action.

The Woman’s Ministry is beginning a series “Jesus and Women,” January 19 at 10:30 at the church. Email us or sign up Sunday at the church. The material is so good, I may slip into the balcony and listen to them!

Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning @ 8, Morning Prayer with Pastor Chuck at the church.

Monday@ 2:22 Grief Share; a ministry to help working through the grief in your life. Ask for Christie to learn more.

Wednesday @ 9 a.m. – Ladies Mountain Mover’s Prayer @ the church or contact the office for a link to the meeting.

As I said earlier, Wednesday, Woman’s Ministry “Jesus and Women,” beginning January 19 at 10:30 at the church.

Also, Wednesday @ 1:30 Bible study – The book of Revelation. We watch a video and ask how accurate is it to the Bible. Email us for video links.

Thursday @ 8:30 a.m. – Men’s Bible study, prayer and breakfast at Tortuga’s. First time is free! Come on gentlemen. And we don’t leave the ladies out either. There is plenty room in the adjoining room.

Friday @ 5 p.m. – Youth Ministry, contact Pastor Mayra for the youth event, Occasionally I drop in to catch the activities. The youth have fairly good English and have decided it is ok to teach me Spanish.

Sunday @ 9 a.m. –Children’s Church with Pastor Mayra; Bi lingual.

Coming up is Mission Sunday or Mission Fest. On January 30 our emphasis is to get involved with the mission ministries and opportunities in our area. We will have all these ministries available for you to visit as we have a lunch together. We are asking you to bring cold salads and deserts. The church will supply rolls and meat. You can have lunch as you visit various table displays and talk with the mission ministries that are associated with SCCC. It will be a great time to know them and the opportunities you have to be involved.

In other news:
Our upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). February 24, 6:00 pm at the church. Come and receive reports from 2021 and hear the vision for 2022. There will be Missions, Finance, Youth, Children and Pastor’s reports will be presented, along with an affirmation time for our new deacons and elders. As you think and pray about additions to the leadership team, and nominations, we ask you not to discuss the nomination with the one you are nominating. We are also grateful for those who considered the nominations given them, but some may think that this was not the right timing for their lives and may say, “no not at this time.” Any questions regarding their possible service should be directed in writing to an elder prior to February 9.

With the upcoming AGM, this week you saw an information table regarding volunteers and a qualifications handout, along with a nomination ballot. Please consider, with prayer, volunteering at SCCC. There are many ways to volunteer at SCCC. If you missed the table, write us and we will let you know of these opportunities.

You can listen to Sunday messages @;
Last Sunday the message was “The Peter in Me” Next Sunday the message is, “The Judas in Me.” You can be sure that will be a short message!

Blessings, Pastor Chuck.

We will be open for public worship services Sunday. STRICT regulations are being kept regarding facemasks. Service will also be LIVE on Facebook. You do not need an account. But as San Carlos is growing and it adds more demand on the available wifi service providers, it affects the upload of our video feed. If the “live” feed you are receiving is interrupted we encourage you to please return and go the page and bring up “Videos” and you will find the recorded video for each Sunday.
