Good day! No matter where you are, Mexico, Canada or United States there is a change of seasons; it is fall. Winter is coming. Children is many places are back at school. Schedules, and the weather are changing. A new season at SCCC too. More exciting adventures serving the Lord via SCCC and its community. One of those is the gifts of backpacks to the area children for school. In early December we will prepare the backpacks for these children. If you are coming to San Carlos this winter, now would be a good time to buy those items for those backpacks and bring them when you come. Come on down and show me how good of a bargain hunter you really are. Bring those bags. Yes, you need to return to San Carlos.

This past Sunday we had a message from a brilliant young man, Denver Janz. He spoke to us about being prepared for ministry. What I took away was for everyone. Pray. First, we notice Jesus often went away to pray. He spent a lot of time with the Father and not with His Twitter account. His first priority was being connected to the father. Second Jesus shared the good news, the gospel.  You are a believer; can you share the good news? We need to know the gospel message and just share it as we have opportunity. Sometimes, you need to make that opportunity and sometimes it just shows up. But here is the test for you this week, can you effectively share the gospel of Jesus? I didn’t say ‘win someone to the Lord’ I said just share the good news. Try.

Lynn and I were invited to join Art and Brenda at their home for a couple of weeks. It was very expensive (Lynn caught up on shopping) and I am happy; I am so fortunate to enjoy the wealth when so many cannot. It was great time. It is their time of harvest in Montana. I saw deer, turkeys, elk, bison and falling leaves. I got dirty fixing a truck and hauling straw bales. I loved it. And I had time to think. I processed where is home? As much as we were made comfortable in their home we realized MX is home to us. Now we feel divided among three nations. But so many wonderful amazing people. SCCC and our travels have given us the opportunity to meet so many people. We are privileged to enjoy three nations and all the different people. Thank you for being a friend. (I heard it in a song one time.)

One more matter, I am really burdened to pray for so many in our community. This summer there has been so much tragedy. So many people need a note from you and prayer. I won’t share that information on such an open venue, but if you write to me, I will let you know what need there are, or contact one of our prayer team. office@sancarloscommunitychurch.com

Next Sunday, Ryan Theisen is taking the next two Sundays. I often sit with Ryan and talk about things that are deep theology questions. Ryan is a thinker and he pursues the truth of Christ. I am looking forward to hearing my young friend.

Blessings, Pastor Chuck.

We will be open for public worship services Sunday. STRICT regulations are being kept regarding facemasks, and hand sanitizer. Service will also be LIVE on Facebook. You do not need an account. But as San Carlos is growing and it adds more demand on the available wifi service providers, it affects the upload of our video feed. If the “live” feed you are receiving is interrupted we encourage you to please return and go the page and bring up “Videos” and you will find the recorded video for each Sunday.
