“What I have I Give To You”

There is a great account in Acts 3 of Peter and John going to the Temple and alongside the road is a lame man who asks for money from those passing by.  The lame man asks Peter and John for money and Peter responds to him: “Look at us.” …Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you.  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”  We go on to read that immedately the man stood up and was healed.

Peter gave that man the most precious thing he could possibly give him, the message of Jesus Christ.  “What I do have I give to you.”  If you know Christ in a personal relationship – the most precious thing you can do is share with that relationship with others.  Tell them -“Look at me.”  Show them Jesus by the changes in your life.  Share with people the truth that Christ saves, redeems, and gives salvation to all who will receive it.

The lame man got up and was jubulant because of his healing.  “he was walking and praising God.”   That’s what happens when a soul is rescued from condemnation and death.
